Ukrainian Artist ZINAЇDA To Take Part in Multi-Art Project
in Czech Republic
Ukrainian Artist ZINAЇDA will participate in GENESIS multi-art project, which is about to open in Prague's Dancing House, on Oct. 31.

The artist will present her Transformation video artwork in which she rethinks archetypes that are intrinsic to Ukrainian folk culture and traditions: symbolism and imagery interlace with each other and demonstrate transformation, movement, and the changes transmit the life cycle.

Life is the flow of eternity. It has a beginning, but does it have an end? Human being created a mystery: living gives birth to mortal, and mortal gives birth to living. The answer to this mystery is the image of universal life — an egg, the eternal symbol of transformation.

According to GENESIS curators, this project is a way for visitors to rethink themselves and the world, their motives and roles through art in all its forms, including painting, sculpture, installations, video, and performance.

Three floors of the exhibition, all of which are divided into separate zones, represent different steps along the way to victory over oneself: acceptance of challenge, overcoming internal hesitations and obstacles, changing your surroundings through yourself, new interconnections, self-talk, rethinking.

Transformation video had been presented during ARSENALE 2012, the First Kyiv Biennale of modern art.

The exhibit will be open through Nov. 6.
