Artist ZINAIDA presents at UFW a performance showing a collection of authorial headscarves "Matusia" ("Mommy")
On September 2, at 20:00, at Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv, 10-12 Lavrska Street), as part of Ukrainian Fashion Week, artist ZINAIDA will present a collection of authorial headscarves "Matusia" ("Mommy") during a performance with the participation of the TEULIS shadow theatre actors.

ZINAIDA has created the prints in which she combines traditional Ukrainian ornaments with various images of the Motherland Monument. For many, this monument is a visiting card and a symbol of Kyiv.

The fluidity of fashion constantly overcomes human taboos, reveals the secret, invents and embodies. Therefore, it gives a new life to the archaic codes over and over again preserving their unchanging essence. The women's headscarf has thoroughly established itself in time as a completion of women's traditional costume or modern stylish image. Most often being chosen intuitively, it is a bright marker of status, origin, milestones in life: an elegant woman from Kyiv or a vain woman from Lviv, married or widowed one, the one with happiness in the family or a bitter loss.

In the "Matusia" ("Mommy") collection, the metropolitan, Kyiv headscarf returns to us again in an archaic ornamental solution and with the soul of a new time with the helping hand of the artist ZINAIDA.
